I know the LAPD will think this is a stupid idea. Why, as we all know, they want to stick their nose in whether they can help or not and stand in the way.

What I am talking about is ambulance calls here in La Grange. Whenever there is an ambulance call here in town, 911 calls LAPD to let them know an ambulance is coming. As it stands today, the COPS  run the home and what? They go there, then they call back to 911 and say they are there and try to tell the ambulance how to get to the place. They can't do anything. The first responders are equipped and the ambulance is equipped, but they can do nothing.

SO, here is the stupid idea. Instead of the COPS running to the site and getting in the way, and then calling back, here I am, here I am, ambulance come find us. Why don't the COPS wait at the intersection of Route B or Route C, so when the ambulance comes, the traffic is safely stopped and the ambulance now knows where to turn. Since most of the time there are two COPS out running in two cars, the other one can lead the way to where they need to go.

BUT, what can you expect from a BOX OF ROCKS. 118?

It used to be that when Arnolds was open and we heard the ambulance coming down the highway, some of the guys would go out to the stop light and warn the people and help stop traffic so the ambulance go on through the stop light without having to worry about someone pulling out in front of them. I have NEVER EVER seen a COP do that yet. But, that would mean they would be doing something to make it Safer and not finding a way to arrest someone who didn't see the ambulance.

Rumor has that a person living on North 5th Street has a pitbull. Normally, a person would consider a pitbull dog a vicious dog, but in this case, the rumor has it that the owner is the vicious one. Rumors has it that the owner of the dog beats it terribly and abuses the dog all the time. The rumors also say the box of rocks were called to investigate the beatings of the dog. But, the owner wasn't speeding, or weaving, or not stopping at a stop sign, so the box of rocks turned away and did nothing. You would have thought that since the box of rocks filed a false police once, doing it again shouldn't have bothered him. Once a liar....

The old City Hall has been sold again, (almost like the foundry). This time Bob and Rita Farr bought the building. She has not said what she plans to do with it but, she made it clear that it will NOT be torn down.

The City Council meeting was Monday night and Mayor Tim Rossiter didn't show up. He didn't show for the other meeting either.

There was a person who rose to management of the La Grange Foundry, then it closed. Then this person went to work for another foundry in Iowa, and I'll be darned if it didn't close. Then, this person went to work at another foundry in Indiana, and, now this person is back in the area working for Gardner Denver. For all of you that have been purchasing Gardner Denver stock and watching it go up......

The La Grange Foundry is back on track to be torn down. They are starting in the back and going to scrap the whole center part which is the old foundry and leave the newer buildings on the ends. The middle part will be redone for a parking lot for all the new employees that will work in the buildings that are left.

The LAPD was left in charge to watch over the place but, they have been too busy harassing people to notice junk being dumped in the back. So much for that.

On Fox News, they were talking about a 5 year old girl who was throwing a tantrum. Police were called and it took (3) cops to HANDCUFF her. Let's see now, what town near Canton would have three cops on duty to respond to an out of control kid and it take (3) of them to handcuff the 5 year old and need backup??

$2,800,000.00

The Lewis County School Board has enlisted Beau Hicks to help them pull off a new scam. Look at the figure of $2.8 million dollars. For 20 classrooms? That comes to $140,000.00 per class room. In the same Quincy Paper, there are many complete new, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, with two car garage homes for sale for $140,000.00 each. How can many people build a 7 room house for $140,000.00 and the school board can only build ONE (1) room. I can not believe that you can spend that much money to build just one room.

Was it cold today or what? Then we had to go out and cover all the tomato plants because of a FREEZE warning tonight and maybe tomorrow night. Sure is screwing up the mushroom hunting.

Watching a channel on TV tonight. It was comedians. This one got on about cops and I LMAO. All I could could think of was 114 and 118 and LMAO some more. He was joking and we see it in real time. I noticed one cop sucking up to the new mayor yesterday. Suck suck suck.

There is this website that shows the number of officers in each city. It gives the population of the City and the number of officers employed. La Grange is the only city of its size that the cop on duty needs a backup (or two). All other towns only have one officer on at a time. Only La Grange police officers are too scared to work alone.

It was so cold today, I saw my neighbor mowing grass with his hat and over coat and gloves on.

Surprising outcomes in the City election see another woman Mayor, a Councilman beat by twice the vote and only half of the registered voters actually voted. In looking at the makeup of the new council, it doesn't look like they will be very hostile toward the new mayor as the old council was to the Mayor now. Hopefully, things will go smoothly. Good luck to Theresa Gunsauls.

NEMO Manufacturing received a $150,000.00 grant to expand. The Know Nothing City Administrator got his mug in the picture like he might have done something to help. Now, we will see if the City will get a sewer line to the new manufacturing plant before it moves somewhere else.

The La grange Garden Club us having a plant sale Saturday at 8am in front of the Dental Clinic.

The Lewis County C-1 school board has formed a steering committee called "I see one cougar pride committee", which will try to figure out a way to raise your taxes to build more classrooms for a declining county.

ALL-State AMBER ANDERS of La Grange Missouri has been chosen by the Missouri Sportswriters Association to the All-State Second team in Class 3 schools. Congratulations to AMBER and Grandma Tonnies.

The La Grange Lutheran Church is to celebrate 150 years April 24th at 3pm. It was started in 1855.

There was a surprise birthday party for Wilma Weathers and Joe and Carol tanner celebrated their 45th.

La Grange Cops still show how dumb they are.

The La Grange Methodist held its annual fish fry today. La Grange Cops, (3 on duty) were out in force to make sure some didn't make it to support the Church and some who did make it paid for it later. As Always, it is the same two or three that cause the loss of business in town and the hatred of the police department. But, the City still doesn't do anything to stop them, so we all end up suffering. Last evening one of the Dummies had a real chance to show that he was better than this but, as always, he stooped to the bottom as we knew he would.

Every time some organization has some kind of a fund raiser in an effort to get the community together to do something for the town. The City puts on more cops to make more harassing stops. Just like tonight. Stupidity breeds stupidity.

Yes, I am supporting a person who I thought in the past was not the one to be the mayor of La Grange. After reading the statements the three people made in the Canton paper this week and as a person who has attended every Council meeting since 1999 and collected the voting records and motions of the present and past mayor, I have to make my vote for Harold Ludwig. One other thing about Harold is that if it wasn't for his socking money away in investments, there would not be anything in the savings now. I know a lot of people are against both of them and want someone new to be in office, but the next few years are going to be very crucial to the people of La Grange. There is going to be a lot of outside pressures to take away the casino money from the people of La Grange and COST YOU MONEY. We need a Mayor that will stand up for YOU, the people of La Grange, stop this insane spending, and coral these rogue cops and not be afraid to stop their stupidity before we lose every patron to the casino. So far, for the past two years this mayor has done nothing to stop these rogue cops and nothing to stop this insane spending spree. We have seen more Ordinances passed in the past two years to cost you money and or make you a criminal than with any other Mayor.

Theresa Gunsauls could be an excellent Mayor in normal times. She been the worker for the Youth Center and is the main one that keeps it going and makes it work. I have thought several times of supporting her to be Mayor because of her hard work with the Youth Center. She knows City Hall and knows all he employees. She is my second choice, only because of what La Grange is coming into the next few years and I feel we need someone that will be able to stand up to State bureaucrats and keep YOU from paying more money and that is going to take someone who has already been there, like Harold.

I have Rita Cox voting records and I can tell you that all in all, she has voted consistency for the people of La Grange. I know she has other issues that she is on the wrong side of, but she is for the people of La Grange. She needs your vote.

I also have the voting records for Mike Lowe and Ron Powers. This is a hard one to choose from. Mike Lowe has always been a very good supporter. He has always supported the Mayor and that is good for any Mayor. But, his voting record shows he has followed the crowd and that has not always been for the people of La Grange.

Ron Powers voting record shows that 90 percent of the time he has voted for the people of La Grange, which is more than Mike Lowe, but not a lot more. Unlike Mike Lowe, he asks questions, he questions and asks more questions. Even though that pisses off the Mayor and a councilman that has quit, it has always been good news for the people. I have to give Ron Powers the edge.

Whether you like the person who is running for Mayor or not, you need to vote for the one who you feel will fight for the people of La Grange.

Tonight was Council Meeting night. This was another know nothing, do nothing night. The City got an award for not having any workman's compensation claims for a year. I guess if nothing is getting done, no one will get hurt. As usual the LAPD stood guard over the audience. They talked about angle parking for the Green Chapel Church. A Wagner showed up and wanted Know street closed so he can park more junk. Since the City changed the property description after Delbert Murphy bid on the old city hall, he wanted to cancel his bid. Then they immediately went into closed session.

The City has the new antique lighting up and they do look good.

April 5, 2005

Today was election day here in La Grange for County and State stuff. The only thing we got to vote for was Donna Collier to be on the school board. She got seven votes I know of.

In relation to the dumb cop who came to visit Sunday evening. I talked to the council lady this morning about it and she was glad the cop was concerned about her parents. What happened was that the dumb cop went to her parents house to question them about the prank 911 call as the dispatcher gave Webster street and a blue house. BUT, once the cop saw the council woman, he changed his mind about the questions and was worried about maybe the parents might have been in trouble and wanted to make sure everyone was all right.

THEN, he came down my driveway and started the question accusations. Had the dummy came to me and said that 911 told him they had a prank 911 call and then asked if I knew of the phone number it was called from nicely, the matter would have ended then and there with no hard feelings. BUT NOOOOOO, The cop had to come out of his car as a bad ass and start his crap and ended up heading back down the hill pissed.

Some day, the Mayor, The City Council, The City Administrator, the Police chief, and the police officers will learn that all the people want is to be treated the way the police treat each other, and not as a potential serial killer who wants to kill cops, then and only then will the ill will and hatred of the people of La Grange against the police end.

But, as long as the cops fear everyone in town and feel the fear need of needing a backup and are scared of the dark, there will be animosity against the cops.

Take for instance, one citizen, who just came home from work found two cop cars and three cops follow him home, get him out of the car and handcuff him "for his own protection" until they did all their 28s and 29s.

Take for instance a cop went to a family home and just gave the people a ticket for not having their dogs registered with the city, $60.00 fine. There wasn't any, police came to the door and "asked" the people if they owned the dogs or if the dogs had their shots or ask any questions. Just knock on door, give ticket.

April 3, 2005

Today was a great day. Nice weather. No bugs. Had a cook out on the patio, enjoying the wood ducks on the creek, the Canadian geese on the pond and all the squirrels running around. Just sitting out on the patio with a large glass of tea and looking around watching the dogs chase each other around the yard. A person couldn't ask for anything better.  What a great ending for a nice day. STOP..

THAT IS UNTIL, one of dumb ones came flying down my driveway while I was putting up the chickens. He got out and asked me if I placed a prank call to 911. I should have say certainly, I picked up the chicken and stuck her beak in my ear talked into her butt. But no, I said no. He asked me again and I said no again. And as I was walking away he started following me and said are you sure you didn't make a prank call to 911. Again, I said, you can see my wife in the door window sitting there reading a book and watching tv and I am outside. How many times do I have to say NO? Finally, he got the message and got in his patrol car and left.

I investigated and found out he was half right, but in his zeal to come to my place and make an arrest, he again didn't stop to check out his information before running off half cocked.

The La Grange Community Youth Center held a teen dance On Friday evening to provide something for the kids to do and go. The LAPD has two cops in two cars out stopping the kids. Too bad a Brahnam got harassed.
