For the Sixth time, the Mayor has had a chance to stand up and be a Mayor and make a decision. For the Sixth time, the Mayor has chosen to hide behind the City Administrator and the Council. Why is the Mayor afraid to make any decisions on his own? What is he scared of?

He has a City employee who has a problem with the new changes. Instead of the Mayor taking the reigns and talking with the employee and the other employees and trying to work out the problem without any "bloodshed", the Mayor has again chosen to hide behind the City Administrator and let him do the dirty work. And now, the rumor is that the mayor will have the Council meet tonight to make his decision for him. At least when election comes again, he will be able to say that he didn't do anything wrong.

An email: Actually there were several on this issue, but I picked the one that said it best.

Hey Jerry, I used to work for the City of Ottawa, Canada's capital, population now over 1 million, and we never had
a curbing machine. We used to contract that work out as needed to private industry because it was cheaper for
the taxpayer and more efficient. Why on earth would La Grange with a pop. of about 1,000 want a curbing
machine? The City can't even lay asphalt properly and get the streets in La Grange straight, yet alone curb them.

But, hey, had a thought, maybe a curbing machine IS needed in La Grange...to curb the insane excesses of the
Mayor and City officials and their groupies. Wonder what that looks like? A vote ballot maybe? The mind
boggles...ok, ok, I stopped cleaning my shotgun!

Hi Jerry, a message to all those "I wanna feel good" ostriches with their heads in the sand--lift your heads up, smell
the coffee, look around, look at your elected city officials, open your eyes, and see what you've allowed them to
do to La Grange. The picture of the former shelter resembles the house of an Albanian farmer in Kosovo after the
Serbian genocide. Send it to CNN, they'd never know the difference!

Jerry,For the person that wants a KFC west of LG, tell them to purchase the land from Ayers of Canton. He purchased
that land when the highway was first built. I am sure he purchased the land so that one of the rest of us that
owns land along there would not be the first to open a station or something else along the road; just for his protection.

I am of the opinion that Mr. McReynolds needs to stay in Canton and keep his interest there. As you know, I am
VERY opposed to annexation they are talking about--just to annex the land with nothing in mind. It is upsetting to
me for I use the farmland as income; it put my kids through college, now supports me.

Thanks for listening.

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and sup with him, and he with me." --Revelation 3:20

In La Grange, if the Police knock on your door, don't open it.
