Jeff and Donna Reid hosted a Father's Day dinner for Jerry Reid. Others present were: Jenny Reid, Eddie and Dana Reid, and Owen and Jeff and Toni Stone and Madison. 

Stan and Charlotte Miner, Mrs. Ruth Miner and Mrs. Miner's house guests, Fred and Nancy Tarpein of Denver, Colo., attended the Tarpein reunion at Lewistown on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Tarpein returned home after a 10 day visit with Mrs. Miner.

On Monday, last week the following visited the new Morman Temple at Nauvoo, Deri and Ruth Bowman, Geneve Bowman, Jo.hn and Nancy Bursewicz, Irene Durst, Linda Denemark, Daryn and Amy Bowman and Denise Bowman.

Gerald and Gladys Wyantt, Wayneville, were weekend guests of her mother, Mrs. Mildred Farr. On Sunday, Mrs. Farr, Norma Farr and Bryan Farr joined her guests and attended the memorial service at St. John's Hospital Chapel in Springfield, 111., on Sunday afternoon, for those who departed this life in April and May. David Farr was one of the names called. A very nice service was held.

Cora Ludwig of Wentzville met the others at Springfield. Pam Murphy of Kasson, Minn. visited her mother Milly Rossiter from Monday to Wednesday. Tim and Lori Rossiter also visited with Pam. She also called on Jenny and Jerry Reid one
evening.

Friends and family went to Kelly's in Quincy for lunch and visiting while honoring the birthday of Jordan Gilliland of Quincy and Ruth Bowman. Other ladies attending were: Geneva Bowman, Denise Bowman, Irene Durst, Linda Denemark, Maria Gilliland, Tina and Samatha Durst, Susan, Megan and Ashlan Knocke, Kendra Camden, Alexis Gaus and Carii Scifres. Phil and Judy Garkie visited her parents, Juluis Berg at Carthage on Sunday.

Bud and Cleota Campbell visited her sister, Alice Hoyes Friday at Maple Lawn in Palmyra.

Paul and Hilda Lahr attended church at West Ely and the Lehenbauer reunion that was also held there. Nearly 150 were present, from several states.

Deri and Ruth Bowman and Mrs. Geneva Bowman went to the Rudicil reunion at the home of Cookie Johnson on Saturday. Mrs Bowman's niece Sister Anne of O'Fallon was present.

The birthday of Shan non Foulk was observed Saturday at the home of her parents, Sheldan and Janie Foulk and Josh. Guests were Jackie Higley, Amy Higley andfriend, Mulissa Stoner, Janet Stoner, Jennifer, Emily, and Isach and Jerry and Jenny Reid.

Mr. Robert Smith of Carthage and his son Darral Smith of Independence were Friday visitors of Curtis Farr and Robert and Eugenia Farr. They attended the Yaeger sale Saturday and were very pleased to purchase the Oak Dining Table that had once belonged to his great grandparents, Jacob and Lydia Wolff. Mr. and Mrs. Yaeger had purchased the Table at his aunt Ida Martin's' sale in April of 1974.

Rumor has it that the person wanting to be near sheep has changed their minds. Close friends are worried and hope that the girls at the Casino do something to cheer him up.
