Jerry

I heard you were going to support and vote for the Mayor. How can you do that after what he let the cop do to you. I am afraid that he will let those cops do it to me or one of my family. I think Harold might be a better choice to stop the cops.

Jerry

I am a friend of cibert. I never would have thought he would be involved in a lie. But, I guess I don't know him as well as I thought. I will watch my back with him now.

Jerry

I am from Quincy and I know the Salaborn family well. It looks like the son is nothing like the father.

So Edward Ensor Jr. got a visit from a LAPD??

EMAILS
Just some of the emails I have received.

Jerry

If that cop did that to me, I would sue his ass off.

Jerry

Who is running the monkey cage? It is still old man Penn? Why doesn't that jerk quit?

Jerry

You are going to sue, aren't you?

Jerry

Do you think they will be honorable and apologize?

Jerry

Why didn't the city Attorney stop this before it got out of hand, Now, the Council has a Cop that refused to do what he swore to uphold. He filed a false police report. And he got his friends to lie for him too. What Mayor and council won't fire them all for their part in the scam.

I'll post some more so you can see what people are saying, later.

March 29, 2005

Tuesday COPS were busy, busy, busy, busy, busy. Since they are barred from anywhere near the casino, 114 and 113 were on the North end of town teaching those Casino Patrons who were going back and forth to Canton a lesson.

There was a council meeting Monday evening. The Council read for the first time an Ordinance about alcohol. And another about making it a crime to drink in any public place. More laws to make more people criminal.

Then they voted to change savings accounts to NOW accounts so they could spend the money faster. They then heard a request to vacate the alley between 2nd and 3rd by Angelica Slater.

The discussion then came to bids on the repair of a windshield of a 1993 or 2003, Ford or Chevy truck that no one knew had a cracked windshield.

The Council then discussed how they screwed over Delbert Murphy on the sale of the old City Hall and to get him to rescind his bid.

the Council then discussed the contaminated water in one of the wells and that they applied for a GRANT to drill a new well.

I read a letter to the Mayor and Council asking the Council that since Larry Gibson, officer 118, of the La Grange Police Department made a public display by filing a false criminal complaint against me, that since the complaint was dismissed by the Lewis County prosecutor, that the Officer 118, Larry Gibson stand before the City Council and Mayor in public and apologize. And since Officers Salaborn and Cibert were involved in this filing of the false police report, that they too appear in public and apologize to the Mayor and Council for actions unbecoming of a police officer. I also asked the Mayor and Council to request the Police Chief Larry Penn to appear and apologize for his failure to or participation in this false allegation. And, since someone in the police department illegally accessed my Social Security number I asked the Mayor and Council have the City attorney investigate this violation of Civil rights and also to investigate who took a confidential private letter and made a copy and faxed it out of City Hall without legal authorization, another violation of a civil right.

We will now see whether the Mayor and City Councilmen want to protect the citizens of La Grange or get voted out.

Glenn Rohs Passed away yesterday

March 27, 2005  (HAPPY EASTER)

Irene M. Klauser Died March 26th.

GLENN & DORA Schroder Married 50 YEARS March 26th.

Blunt is cutting $8.7 million from the Juvenile officer budget citing waste and abuse. There are several of us in Lewis County can attest to that. Mike Waddle cost the taxpayers from 1989 t0 1991 over $250,000.00 trying to make a person kneel. It cost the State (you the taxpayer) several million dollars in Mike Waddle's false charges against Charlie Sharpe and even his $900,000.00 fine was paid by you. And his judge buddy, promoted him. No one can really find out just how many millions of dollars were wasted by just one man.

A motorist was stopped by two St. Louis Sheriff deputies and they found that the motorist had a derringer, an old black powder pistol and two rifles and a knife. The deputies called this "bizarre several times" and "sobering". Yet, the police think nothing of themselves as one I know, had many rifles, some high powered with scopes and several hand guns. But, in this case a citizen had these and he was called to have an "arsenal". So, do as they say and not as they do..

March 26, 2005

The La Grange Community Youth Center had a bake food sale and it was a sell out by 11am. Lots of low carb and diabetic food was sold. And of course we had a lot of police protection.

copcar1.jpg (30287 bytes)    copcar2.jpg (28713 bytes)      copcar3.jpg (27521 bytes) click on a pic to make it larger.

They watched our sale all morning. But, one officer did get out of the car (oooooohh) and came over and bought something.

Ex-mayor Harold Ludwig participated as well as Councilwoman Cox and Theresa Gunsauls was there. She had to work.

I do want to tell you that of all the places to eat breakfast in the area, Grandma's Cupboard was the best today. She can cook some good food.

March 25, 2005

LA GRANGE COMMUNITY YOUTH CENTER BAKE SALE SATURDAY...

PLENTY OF DIABETIC AND LOW CARB FOOD.

The Lions Club had their final fish fry of the year this evening. And a tip of the hat for the Mayor for keeping the police in the police station so that the fund raiser money all went to the Lions Club.

There has been some work done this week on the new Antique lighting downtown and some work on the new carwash coming to town.

Boondoggle street is still being worked on. Fourth street what used to be a rocky hill will become a boulevard when they are done.

March 22, 2005

More bad news for the fat cop. The letter I got today shows that the Court didn't believe his false police report. Maybe a Mayor and Council will look at why they keep a bad cop on the force that is willing to lie in Court.

March 21, 2005

Rumor has it that the Casino has finally got fed up with the stupid harassing antics of the La Grange COPS. Rumor has it this meeting that  was held and that in plain English "LA GRANGE COPS KEEP OUT - DON'T CALL US - WE'LL CALL YOU". It was about time for the Casino to stand up and protect its customers.

But, the COPS won't take the hint, they have already moved their trap to the North end to get the poor patrons that don't know to go around La Grange and come in the South end. The Casino needs to post signs to tell its customers how to go around and keep from getting harassed by the LAPD.

The poor dumb one didn't know what already happened and thought that there was another one today. Just another box of rocks about to disappear down the road.

The Chamber put on their secret Easter egg hunt last Saturday. It started at 1pm and at 1:03, the few kids got into their parents cars and were leaving. It was that quick.

ONLY IN AMERICA. A man in Southern Missouri had a puppy mill and was arrested and convicted of animal abuse for STARVING some of his dogs. In Adams County Illinois, a farmer is charged with a felony for staving some of his horses.

IN FLORIDA, A ROGUE JUDGE MADE A RULING TO STARVE A HUMAN BEING TO DEATH.

In La Grange, a COP who filed a false police report, lied about not hearing an assault, lied about not seeing a battery, harassed and threatened legal action against a new business owner that he had no jurisdiction to enforce is still working as a COP in La Grange. Goes to show you what type of scum the City Council will hire and keep as a COP. Ex-Mayor Jerry Brandt and ex-Mayor Harold Ludwig did not hesitate to fire rogue - out of control cops.

March 18, 2005

Did you get your city newsletter yet? Well. when you do, go to the La Grange Police Department Page. They say they only made 58 traffic stops. Top of Second row. In these 58 traffic stops they issued 25 summons, 1 DWI, 18 written warnings 53 verbal warnings and 35 motorist assists. And how did they get 54 business assists with only a half a dozen businesses in town.

The city Administrator in each and every newsletter keeps telling us that he is still going to get a grant. For over a year now, we are still going to get that grant. Which reminds me, a little bird at the casino mention that the Administrator was there on his lunch hour or break and when asked about it, the comment seemed to be something like, "I am taking their money so screw them". The bird said that he wasn't talking about the casino's money either. Darn rumors.

In the part where the candidates gave their goals if elected. Both Harold Ludwig and Tim Rossiter mentioned doing something about the police department. But, it looks like the Mayor, if reelected, seems to be the one that is interested in getting the City out of the protection business and turning it all over to the County. But also, Harold Ludwig sees that there is a serious problem with the LAPD, but did not project what he would do to fix it.

On the sewer plant, Mayor Rossiter does seem willing to work a deal on water/sewer rates with removal of property taxes to make up for the increase. But, he will also need to force the DNR to make a case. I like Ludwig's idea of doing any improvement to the sewer plant with present income instead of trying for a Grant that would involve some other government agency dictating to La Grange. Theresa seems to want to let someone else make the decision, like DNR.

Almost all the candidates, both council and mayor, say that they would like to see new business. river front improvement, yet, they have the police harass anyone wanting to use the river front. HOG BACK Island is a dangerous place for kids because of the current and undertow. The upper end of the riverfront beach area is an excellent place for kids. Little current, no undertow, lots of shallow wading areas. But, you never see the Quincy people use the river front.

YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY. Because they can open a can of beer on Hog Back and here the Police harass and arrest anyone with a beer on the La Grange beach. And now they are passing MORE laws to harass you with.

Every Council meeting is one of the councilmen/women wanting anther law passed to make another way to make you a criminal. And they all say they want to get more business and more people to come to La Grange and live.

oxymoron.

Mike! What do you think of that big fat asshole now? The manager of the casino doesn't care.

March 15, 2005
Rumor has it that at 5:15pm a LAPD COP pulled over a driver underneath the canopy, right in front of the main door of the casino and gave him a sobriety test.

Jerry
Who hired this guy? Why hasn't the City Asked why he has not provided one grant in over a year?

Jerry
How can the City Council change the legal descriptions after the sale?

I have noticed that at every council meeting there seems to be a lot of cops standing in the back. I am not sure of whether they think they are there to protect the Mayor and Council or to make sure the Mayor and Council don't say or do anything the police won't like and there for intimidation purposes.

March 14, 2005

Tonight was Council Meeting night. At the last Council meeting the City Administrator brought up about closing the road going to the bottom road and inferred it was at the request of the Casino. I couldn't figure out why the Casino would want to have the road closed after almost 5 years of not saying anything. But, tonight at the Council Meeting, the City Administrator admitted that it was HIS IDEA. Now, here is an employee the City hired to get grants, he was supposed to be the best grant getter anywhere. And now, after over a year, he doesn't come up with any grants, but want to screw over the people who use the bottom road. Too bad he can't seem to do the job he was hired to do.

The Council discussed the old City Hall that Delbert Murphy bought. It seems that now the Council wants to change the property lines to suit themselves even though they sold the property leaving the bidders and buyers believing they were buying the corner lot. So much for honesty and integrity..

There was also a discussion about getting time clocks for the employees. The City hall, the police station and the city shed and get the kind that the employees can't cheat and sign each other in or out. There was a groan from the public works foreman.

The Council then voted to close the alley behind the old Christian church. This one was asked by a property owner and no one objected. People who ask that their alley be opened or closed should know that a new Mayor and Council can change it back or anything, like put a water or sewer line down it. Yes, they will get a title to their half of the alley and it will be like an extension to their property but, the City can still change its mind. Kind of like what they are doing with the old city hall.

Then, Theresa Gubsauls spoke up and accused the Mayor of calling her a lying bitch and there was a serious discussion about that until Lannie shut it down and the Council went on to other business.

Klingner's came in and asked for final payment on building the two blocks on 5th street to the city park. It was 10% held back for the final payment, so the total cost came to $443,000.00. Just wait til you see what is going to cost to do the rock road, 4th street off of route c.

More to come later.

March 13, 2005

Lewis County doesn't need to hire another deputy, LAPD 114 works as much out of La Grange City limits as in town. Say thank you County..

Not much news today except that Hazel and Amos Martin are celebrating 50 years together.

Rumor has it a new car wash may be coming to town. Some support was asked to the City Council and they turned their back as always.

You absolutely will not believe this, but, coming into town to go to the "LION'S CLUB FUND RAISER FISH FRY" I see one of the dummies stopping cars. Here, the Lions club is trying to raise money to benefit people in need and the LA GRANGE POLICE ARE ARRESTING the people going to the fund raiser. How dumb can these guys get? How dumb can the members of the city council get for allowing this to happen. Two cops in two cars stopping as fast as they can. Did you see in the news where two New York cops were arrested for working for the mafia? Even here in La Grange I witnessed a cop trying to instigate a fight, lying that he didn't hear a threat, lying again saying he didn't see an assault. Attempt to invoke State laws and Federal Laws he didn't have any jurisdiction to do. And yet, have the nerve to say he is an officer of the law.

But, even wading through all the harassment from the LAPD, the people filled the hall. I even got to visit with Larry Brandt and Ann.

I have been getting emails and phone calls on the screwball antics of a former cop fired from La Grange that I named "the bald rabbit". Rumor has it that he is trying to take over a small town of 450. Curreyville, Mo.

Here is another email

A friend of mine recently stumbled onto your gossip page. We live in a charming waterfront town named Port Deposit in Maryland that is eerily similar. We sometimes have made the comment ‘we couldn’t make this stuff up”. If we ever wrote a book about what goes on in this town, people just would not believe it was true. When I began to read your website I thought it necessary I contact you just to let you know there are other little towns out here that are just as poorly administrated. In a town of some 600 people there are sooo many issues we could literally write a book.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed reading your gossip page     From Maryland.

March 11, 2005

There hasn't been much going on around town. I read the garbage the City Administrator put in the Quincy Herald Whig and then heard (and tried to understand) his double talk on the radio the other day. It is a shame the City Administrator had to try to use scare tactics and threats to tell his story that were only half truths. But, I guess, if you can't get any grants after a year, you need to pretend you are doing something.

On the brighter side of the day, we have been repotting tomato plants, some for the second time. We are up to about 50 now and will start more later next week. The Canadian geese are back and checking us out for a summer home. I still go out to the chicken house twice a day to feed the blind duck. A couple of days ago, it was nice, so I took him out to the pond. He had trouble finding the others, but gets along.

We are glad the old Ruth Minor is out of the nursing home and back in her own home. Now, she just needs a few visitors or phone calls. And, we are hoping Nina Painter gets better from her flu and gets to come down town for coffee.

Well, Monday night is Council Meeting night. Looks like there will be a lot to report from that meeting.

March 7, 2005

The Mayor And City Council have to be so proud to have three cops on duty stopping two cars at the same time all over town, and then one after another after another after another.

Well, today, my life as a criminal against a LAPD officer has come to an end. And, just when I was getting warmed up.

I found out today about the fundraising for the La Grange Community Youth Center and the results. Rumor has it that a lot of prominent citizens of La Grange were sent out letters of the Open House and the fund raiser. The results of these citizens who profess to be the ones who care about La Grange was dismal to say the least. More people from out side of La Grange seem to care more about the kids in La Grange.

The 1st District Republican Lincoln Day Dinner will be held in Ewing, Thanks to Doug Vaughn. There will be a Social hour from 5:30 to 6:30pm and a Dinner from 6:30pm to 8pm and then a Dance Band from 8:00 to 10pm. This will be held on March 12th and tickets are $15.00 each. Doug Vaughn 573-209-4000. The dinner menu sounds great and the band is one MT will be proud of.

CITY COUNCIL TURNS DOWN MONEY MAKING VENTURE

A local businessman stopped me on the street and told me about his offer to the the City. It seems the businessman was interested in a business venture that would be a half a million dollar income. He approached the City Council with an offer, in an effort to help the community and the County, an offer of that he would invest two dollars to every dollar the city would invest with the stipulation that the "City would OWN the facility". The City Council thought about this and pondered about it and thought about it some more and in about two minutes decided that the person donating the two dollars to the city's one dollar and the city owning the facility "Would benefit the DONOR", and decided that the additional half a million dollar income to the city wasn't needed and that the income from the casino was enough income.

March 5, 2005

Saturday morning shows that the City has two cops in two cars patrolling the town, following each other for their protection.

The city crew this past week has been busy working on 2nd street behind city hall. They say they are cleaning the area to make it easy to mow, get rid of varmints, and generally clean up the area and make work for all the city employees who have nothing to do. They found some more foundations in the hillside. Here are a couple of pictures of the clean up.

And the city is also making 4th street into a boulevard for you. Including the $19,000, 150 foot sewer line.

Don't forget about the Sunday brunch tomorrow at the Lions Hall.

March 4, 2005

Thursday night. A drive around town. Not one "civilian" car on main street driving from the North end to Route C and up the main hill and around back to the North end. Yet, someone scheduled 3 cops to ride around protecting each other.

There is a rumor around town about some police officers violating some children's rights by questioning them without a juvenile officer present and maybe without any parent's knowing. But, Lannie Henze says not to worry.

Mary Maxine Stone Coddington

For those who have lived around La Grange and Canton for quite awhile will remember Mary Coddington. She was married to Jay Coddington who built some homes around the La Grange area. She was 84 years old and lived in Rockhills South Carolina for the last many years. She has a son Chuck who lives around Ft. Lauderdale Fl.

If you have children or grandchildren in elementary school, you need to know about a new video being sent to 61,000 elementary schools. The “We Are Family” video will be delivered on March 11. It is produced by the We Are Family Foundation (WAFF), a pro-homosexual organization. Homosexual organizations have long used the schools to promote homosexuality

Jerry

Looking at your gossip page and do my eyes deceive me
or is that a laundry mat across from the scout
building??????
I thought the scout building was the only one in town
that it was possible to put a laundry mat into.
Guess that blows that story all to heck huh?

March 1, 2005

Last night was Council meeting night. All 30 minutes. During that time Klingner Engineering came by again for another payment $31,000+. Discussed the engineering for a sewer line on the south side of town that isn't needed right now. Shumate came by from the Baptist church and talked about putting up signs around town.

Then the bids for the old city hall were opened. One for $5001 from Robert Farr, one for $6000 from Delbert Murphy. These were to buy the building. Bids for demolition came in at $7000 and $11,000. For awhile the council acted like the bids for the demolition were a payment TO THE CITY, but after some talk it was decided the money was for the City to pay. So they let Delbert Murphy buy the old city hall for the $6000.

They table the ordinance that would allow alcoholic beverages to be on City property. The Casino wanted the Council to vacate Buchanan street from the hiway East. They say that the casino has paved over the street and made parking lot out of it and now wants posession. My question is that since it has been that way for 4 years, why?? Barb Borgstadt asked about vacating the alley behind her house. Now one asked why and put it up for a hearing.

A couple of funny things have happened. You probably noticed that I posted the notices from the Christian Church about having the movies for the kids. A person sent me an email asking "me" why it wasn't done at the Youth Center. How do I know? So, I forwarded the email to the preacher and I got back a scathing, heated, condemning email from the preacher about the reasons he was doing it at the church and on and on. WOW, I wasn't the one who requested the information and I was the one who got the heat.

So, last night at the Council Meeting, the Baptist preacher got up so say a prayer for the council as they all do. During his prayer for the City the preacher got on GOD to help stop the drugs, and bad actions of people in town and "this malicious Gossip". Did I get the dig? I got more than that. I got two preachers that seem to have less respect for religion than should be required to hold that position. What a City.

I got a call from Lannie Henze, who is the police committee chairman and should know what is going on with the police department. I asked a simple question. You have 7 police officers. When any of the first 5 are on duty, you never or rarely here them call in that they stopped someone for something. BUT, when the other two are on duty, within 5 minutes, they find drivers after drivers all during their shift that they stop for something. My question was to Councilman Henze was, why are only these two officers finding all these people who seem to have trouble getting from one end of town to the other. His answer was, maybe these people who were stopped needed to be stopped for breaking a law. So, this will give you the mentality of this councilman.

So, as long as the people elect council people with mentality, YOU, the people of La Grange will continue to suffer. Will a NEW Mayor have a different view?
