Probably the biggest sell out of our City was by people who sold our school to C-1 back in the 60's. Most of those people are dead and gone now, and the others at least did the right thing and move away and stayed away. But the people and the city have been sold down the river several times in the past few years by two main people. Ralph Martin and Fred Wiewel.

1: Ralph Martin was one of the committee asked by the C-1 board to decide which schools to close. Ralph chose your school. But, he accidentally let his actions slip in front of an original S. O. S. member which called a meeting of the people. He and his friend Fred then decided they would be the people to run Project Brighter Future. They had everyone in town donate money, several thousands of dollars and hired an attorney to file a fictitious lawsuit knowing they would lose. Together, they not only lost our school for you, they still will not divulge where all the Project Brighter Future Money went.

2: Ralph and Fred next item of sell out of your City was the sell out to B.F.I. allowing BFI to bring into town their leachate that other Cities refused to take. Then last year they sold out your City for many more years to take tons more leachate. They do not care what the possibilities of the damage to the City sewer plant may be.

3: Ralph and Fred next sell out was to sell the City water system South out of town to Clark County Water. This was with the help of Robert Blessing.

4: Ralph and Fred next sell out was to Mark Twain Gaming LLC. Instead of taking the offer of Catfish Bend Casinos.

A: MTG LLC offered the City a $50,000 promissory note (with no interest to the City) that they would make application for a gaming license. "This was done and the note returned to MTG LLC".

A: Catfish Bend offered a check in hand that night of $100,000.00. No strings attached if the Council would accept them. Ralph and Fred refused the $100,000.00.

B: MTG LLC offered the City the funds received from NAP Grants of $50,000 per year. Maybe more, maybe less, maybe good for 10 years, may be good for 1 year.

B: Catfish Bend offered $100,000.00 cash every year for ten years. $1 MILLION DOLLARS. This was over and above any other royalties and payments.

C: MTG LLC offered to build a new boat sometime and offered no set date for doing so. To date, no boat has been built.

C: Catfish Bend offered a boat already up and running to be moved in immediately.

For the sell out of the City of La Grange to MTG LLC, with the help of Jenny Murphy, the people of La Grange do not have a boat. Haven't had a boat for 4 years. According to Jenny Murphy's figures, the people of La Grange have lost over $6 MILLION DOLLARS. PLUS the $4 MILLION already offered. That is $10 MILLION DOLLARS people, that these people COST YOU.

Everyone owes Ralph Martin, Fred Wiewel and Jenny Murphy a debt of gratitude for this loss.

Now Ralph and Fred and Mayor Ludwig are looking to sell out your water and sewer system to the same company that took over Cantons services.

Ralph and Fred and Harold gave away several blocks of City streets and alleys to MTG LLC. MTG LLC now OWNS those streets and alleys. They are private property and anyone one of you can be arrested for trespassing at any time.

NOW, What has Susan Dean and Jimmy Ellison done with the La Grange Revitalition Organization? So far, they have refuse to provide any accounting to YOU the people. They will not tell you how much money they have borrowed. They will not tell you who is holding the papers on the property purchased.  They will not say who will get any revenue from any of this property. You the public are the LOSER. Nobody, and believe me, NOBODY, devotes that much time and effort on their own with out a pay day some day.
