A new sewer plant is coming,
Here is an old picture of a BIBLE School Class. The owner needs to know the names of all the kids in the picture.

Shelby needs to call Ruth.
Rumor has it that daddy's boy, the exceptional son of Sam Henderson has done it again. The city just bought a brand new backhoe and the rumors say that sonny has already tore out all the wires underneath it. Rumor has it that the last new one the city had for a demonstrator got a big dent in the radiator by sonny. But, I guess when you are promoted again and again and again and now promoted to street superintendent, a designation which the mayor used to get rid of the other street super, you can tear up the new equipment without being written up. The City Administrator knows better that to write up sonny.
Rumor has it that if you work at the Casino, you can speed through town without one of the finest taking a glance.

Two items: One is that the council people are all out running around talking to people out Route C to try to get them to vote to annex their property to the City. I was asked what I thought. Well... If I lived out Route C and a councilman or mayor came to me and asked me to vote, I would have to ask what was in it for me. They already have City water. Even with millions of dollars to spend, it will be years before any sewer line is extended out there and they have 911 just like I do. Outside of being able to pay city taxes, what else could the city offer. I have been harping at the council for the past two years to do away with the property taxes. The total taxes equals to less than one weeks income from the casino. OH YES Sam Henderson and Mayor Timmy, I know it will take 3 years to get the taxes back up if the casino closes, BUT, you could take $150,000 out of the $450,000 in cash and put in a savings for those three years. But, that is too much for them.
Yet, if the City did do away with the property taxes, there would be no reason for anyone outside of the city limits NOT to let the city annex them. But, greed and power will never let that happen. Will it Sam?
So, my advice to property owners outside of the city limits, make the city either provide sewer or do away with the property taxes they don't need. Or I would vote NO!
Item number two is this. The city manager was showing off his new $30,000 computer program that had an aerial picture of the town and a program that allowed them to overlay the city map. So, I visited him today so see this new program. Here is what I found. First the City manager tried to tell me that Webster St wasn't a street. I have a copy of the engineers survey of North La Grange and my abstract shows the streets. so I knew better. Plus, even the City Ordinances legally named the Streets. Then the $30,000 program showed I owned property to the North of me that My registered survey shows that I don't.
Then they had the streets labeled wrong. They have Wharf street labeled as Front Street and Front Street labeled as Wharf street and they even have the Wharf Street sign behind Tiemann's on the Alley. Then the $30,000 program shows that Kerr Mcgee owns the railroad property. Who knows how many more mistakes there are. I have to agree with the city manager that this cannot be used legally in a court of law. So, if anyone from the City shows you one of these pictures that says you have something on some else's property or in a street or alley. Say, prove it.

Council Meeting night
The Baptist and the Christian Church preachers attended the Council meeting and talked about Appreciation day and a breakfast at the Youth Center.
It was also noted that GRANDMA'S CUPBOARD will have grand opening Saturday and a ribbon cutting at 9am.
The Fire Department got a large grant for fire equipment.
Then there was this long boring discussion and bickering over a big truck to haul the sewerage. It was something that was always sorely needed and always will be needed and they talked about it for an hour. Finally! they decided to get one. Then the discussion was on where to put the "sewerage". Bob Farr was letting the city dump on his property for free for the past 30 years, but the kids say that will stop if something happens to Bob. So now the council wanted to get a pay for lease from Bob, well, until they buy some land of their own.
The Casino, in their opinion, donated another $148,000 to the coffers.
Then they discussed what kind of trees they were going to plant to landscape Paul Tasco's property for him.
And Casey's wanted the Council to change the liquor Ordinance so they can sell alcohol Sunday mornings at 9am instead of waiting till 1pm.
Then there was discussion as to all the brush cutting the city crew has been doing around town and down by the railroad tracks.
And then as always, the Council went into closed session. Every meeting has the closed session.

Engineering fees $15,000.00. Cost to build the one block of street $65,000.00. A road from main street to the railroad tracks, Priceless. CLICK HERE. This is the one most needed street work in town.
Councilperson Rita Farr, first got her street paved. The she got her ditch paved. And now she is getting a new sidewalk. CLICK HERE.
The new mayor says the new city hall is dangerous and unsafe because water is getting into the building. Here is a picture. Look at how high the drain end of the drain tube is in the air, and then if you look close, you can see that it also runs uphill. CLICK HERE. No wonder the water gets into the building. It has no where else to go.
The new mayor says that because of the old city hall getting water into it because it sits in a hole, it needs to the destroyed. But, the new mayor is now planning to build a new police station. Where, in a hole where the water will run off the cliff and down the hill. CLICK HERE.
Cost of a new roof on the old City Hall. About $15,000.00. Cost of new windows in the old city hall. About $6,000.00. Cost to remodel the upstairs for council meetings. About $6,000.00. Cost of a handicap ramp and deck. About $12,000.00. Cost the destroy the old city hall. About $20,000.00. Cost to build a new police station. About $65,000.00. Cost to do the inside work of the new police station. About $30,000.00.
Now consider the cost to remove the inside walls back to the original fire station look. About $5,000.00. Cost to move the police upstairs. About $1,000.00. Cost to trench around the old city hall and tile it. About $1,000.00.
The new mayors math was learned at highland. To him it is cheaper to spend $150,000.00 to build a new police station that spend less than $10,000.00 to utilize the old city hall.

Congratulations to Connie Lewis on her new job with the city crew.
Since the LAPD has a brand new four wheel drive pickup and since they all like to drive it all the time, it is rumored that a councilperson wants to have the truck do double duty this winter. So the rumor goes, that the councilperson is requesting the city to purchase a snow plow for the truck so while the police officers are just out driving around, they can help keep the streets clear of snow all winter. This will eliminate the new public works foreman from getting up early and getting the city crew out to clean snow. Rumor also has it the city has hired a good looking lady cop.
Jerry, hello...According to census information on the Web, the
total population of LaGrange is 1,237 (could be less now with
businesses closing and folks from LaGrange seeking refugee status elsewhere in the world). But taking the figure I have, it would
seem that Rossiter and his hacks are to be spending US$ 2,021 on each woman, man and child in LaGrange this year (for Canadian
friends of the Gossip Page that is CAN $2,724 at current rates). Note this figure is PER PERSON including infants, not per household
or family unit. My challenge to the Mayor, Administrator and other Council members is to detail EXACTLY WHAT benefits each woman, man
and child will receive from this per person expenditure of public funds with an itemized breakdown per expenditure with
justification. City income sources should also be included and itemized. The disclosure should be made public on this site and
not on some obscure green PR pamphlet pushed in mailboxes that gets
immediately recycled. If you are planning to spend US $2,500,000 in 2003, Mr. Mayor and Council, let the people see on what, and
why, and from where/whom the money is collected
A phone call the other day wanted me to tell the people of La Grange that this mayor as the last mayor have never said hello, or stopped by, or called, or nothing, to the only manufacturing business in La Grange. This business is a business that manufacturers electronic circuit boards for major companies all over the USA. It is a growing company that is acquiring more new customers every year. Yet, the new mayor has no idea what it is, what it does, and who even owns it. Well, to give the mayor credit, the chamber only knows how to send it a letter to join the chamber.
NEMO MANUFACTURING COMPANY nemomfg.com
Yet at the same time the city is buying a large piece of land from the Hoyes's for an industrial park. But, the big questions is, if the new mayor and council don't care about the one and only manufacturing business the city already has, what good is getting an industrial park?
There has been hours of talk about annexing to the highway for expansion, yet the city REFUSES to provide a sewer line to the one and only manufacturing plant already in town.
The council has been talking about a thousand dollars or so to put a light up near the highway south of the casino and someone has those big pole lights for sale in the shopper for $250.00.
An emailer who didn't want their email printed asked a question. The mayor and council are going to destroy the old city hall because it sits in a hole and water gets in the building. So, the emailer said, what does the new mayor and council do??? They are going to build a NEW building in a hole where water runs downhill to. How smart is that??
One last item: The Lewis County Airport received a $150,000 grant. They have to come up with $30,000 matching funds. They ran a pitiful sorrowful article in the Quincy paper of their poor plight of not having enough money. SUGGESTION, ask Jeff McReynolds from the Lewis County Industrial Development to share some of the $150,000 a year for the past 15 years of income from the La Grange BFI landfill tipping fees.
La Grange residents can expect their city taxes next week.

Warning, the Mayor NOW says not to read this newsletter.
The amount of money the mayor has budgeted to spend this year alone $2,500,000.00.
Daddy can keep on promoting sonny as much as he wants but, sonny will never make it. Just the past week, the mayor by sucking up to the councilman, promoted sonny again to street super which the mayor previously eliminated. But, since sonny couldn't hack as water super and since the mayor screwed over the past street super and got rid of him, sonny was promoted again. More money!
But, yesterday, I received calls and emails telling me about sonny. It seems he was supposed to flush fire hydrants. Now, let's see now, Ed Weathers and Kenny both were bitched at by the mayor and city administrator about doing nothing right? Well, the calls and emails were telling me that sonny would turn on the fire hydrant and go lay under a shade tree and relax from all the strenuous work.
Then, even though Ed and Kenny were bitched at for doing nothing while waiting for their truck to be loaded, the same rules don't apply for the new ones. They can stand around and do nothing for a long time and the new foreman says nothing. Is there a double standard? There was also a directive from the city administrator that no one takes home a city vehicle, but a city truck was seen at an employee's home. hmmmmm.
And, more and more people are commenting on the new police truck. The premise was that it was supposed to allow the police to get around town in the winter. But, one emailer asked if the new mayor was going to supply the people with 4 wheel drives too?
Now to the casino. I have been hearing rumors the past couple of weeks about one of the security guards donated by the state. I am not sure but, rumor says, it seems some kind of undercover took place. And now the rumor is that a powerful security guard has been moved somewhere else. hmmmmm.
September 17, 2003
A person today told me that the mayor said not to trust me that I am two faced. Let me see now. Back in December the mayor said he wasn't going to run for mayor. In January he signed up, and said he only did it to help me get in and to take votes away from Griesbaum. Then when Griesbaum dropped out, he said, oh he will take his name off at the last minute. Then he campaigned hard.
He came to me and said that he wanted to give Kenny Powers a chance to take early retirement. He said that it would cost the city over $90,000.00 to keep Kenny on for the three years. He said he was going to offer Kenny $30,000 plus medical. He then screwed Kenny over.
He said he would not go for a new sewer plant. But, now he is pushing for one.
He told me after he was given the mayors seat that he had the same ideas as I did. Provide funding for the not-for-profits. Reduce the police force to 5. Listen to the people. Ever since he was elected councilman, he asked my advice on everything and did a hell of a job as a councilman. He knows that the people of La Grange read the gossip page and provide most of the input, but he now in is letter on his greensheet says everything is all ONE MAN'S OPINION. And, he knows better.
Now tell me, who is the one that is two faced.
Rumor has it that daddy's little boy couldn't handle his new water job. Rumor has it that sonny has been put back on the street department AND, after the mayor and council did away with all the titles, sonny was made street super and given another raise. No nepotism in this town.
What happened to officer Hunt? Rumor has it about something to do with false accusations or something like that.
Today. Today, after the police officer gave Ruth Miner the ticket for parking, the same officer chased up the street and across the old 66 station lot and caught another person parking. Maybe the cops can run enough business off for the new business, it will lose money and close too. Go get 'em DANO. One person said it is beginning to look like Mayberry with Barney in charge.

The mayor's little paper boys were out today in force
delivering the mayor's propaganda.
Here are some of the emails I have received.
Jerry, just got a copy of the mayor's greensheets. Boy is he sure trying to cover his a---.
Jerry, how do you get a petition up for a recall, not just the
mayor but the whole council too. We
need to start over with a clean slate. These people are terrible.
Webmaster, I am not from your town, but found the site
searching for past relatives
in the RiverView cemetery. I am an alderman for a city much larger than
yours and after
reading what your mayor and council did that employee, I am glad our city
employees
have their union to protect them. Surely something can be done to change the
mayor's decision.
I am emailing the other aldermen and mayor in my city to look at your website.
Hi Jerry:
Just picked up Mayor Tim's newsletter at Casey's.
He is covering his ass on everything you have confronted the public about in your gossip
pages.
He tells the people to not believe the one man in town's word.
I believe page 6 of this newsletter states under property complaints: "Powers stated he has
received complaints about Dyas Robert's property with old appliances and other material
behind the building. Mayor Rossiter stated he would like into the matter himself." Whatever
the hell that means.
My interpetation means that he ain't gonna do shit to Dyas because they both are getting off
by ***** with me!
He has a reason for everything the police dept new bldg, Kenny Powers, Ed Weathers, the boy
scout bldg you name it he sure is covering his ass.
They even talk about buying the $5000 Sullivan book .. I guess a book to stick it to us....
again!
Just to let you know that the liar pages are out and about....
HOW IS THE CITY COUNCIL GOING TO PAY FOR THE INSURANCE TO COVER
THIS SKATE PARK. THEY HAD TO CLOSE ONE HERE AT THE LAKE BECAUSE
INSURANCE IS VERY EXPENSIVE. SOME KID WILL OWN THE TOWN AND THE ONE
HORSE THAT IS LEFT IF THEY GET HURT.
Hi Jerry:
How are you? Seen the gossip pages. Jesus Christ! What is wrong with these people??
Has the power of being mayor really went to Tim's head as everyone said it has?
Isn't there ONE person that is among them that will stand up for what is right?
It goes to show you that the almighty dollar means more to the city officials than the people
who live, and die here.
Its such a shame. My friends from Alaska called me Friday nite, and he said he is so a
shamed of our city
officials, because he has been in law enforcement for 30 plus years and he
says this law we have here relies on intimidation. La Grange gives law enforcement a new
meaning.
Have you ever see Reno 911 on comedy central ?Well that is a carbon copy of the
LGPD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the casino closed tomorrow what will La Grange do for money? No school, no foundry, no
businesses to speak of. Many long time residents have moved away.
The new businesses that go up are only here for a short time. Before they too can't afford to
stay open.
The mayor needs to have a plan for the future....
I would like to ask as a tax payer what are your plans for the future of La Grange, Mr. Mayor?
I would like to ask him WHY do we need all these new vehicles, boat, truck, $30,000 computer
software. How did we survive before the casino?
It would be cheaper if the casino built a little bldg (size of a toll booth station) in the middle of
their parking lot and manned several security guards on staff 24 hrs a day. Then, call for
police if needed. Do like they have at Blessing Hospital buy some security vehicles and patrol
the lot. They don't have enough patronage to probably patrol the lot. But, they can sure hire
cheaper security guards who actually are employed by the casino and not have the riff-raff we
have for police officers. If I were coming into La Grange to go to the casino I would much
rather be welcomed by security setting in the parking lot. Rather than blue lights flashing in
my mirror... wouldn't you?
If I had one wish...I wish enough people would stand together and get this town back to a
community , instead of fighting each other. I thought the mayor and officials are here to
serve the people of this town? Instead, all I have seen so far since this new mayor took over is
screw over as many as you can. (At all cost.) He has no mercy for his own employees! Sick
indeed! Talk about back stabbing! If I were his wife I would be afraid to sleep at nite with
him....
If you have any ideas on this how we can stand together let me know. How do you fight them?
They have no morals. No respect for the town or the people who live here. You said it best a
sad day in La Grange indeed.
Keep up the fight
Jerry, THEY HAVE TO GO! Rossister and his ass-crawling body-lice
have to go! I,
the world, anyone who visits your page, is beyond disgusted.
You NEVER DEMEAN A MAN WITH 30 YEARS SERVICE IN A CITY
HE LIVED IN AND LOVES BY DEMOTING HIM TO LABORER AND GIVING HIM A
PITTANCE FOR HIS SERVICES AFTER 30 YEARS!!! NOWHERE DOES THIS...LIKE NOWHERE!!!
Rossiter has to go and all the Council slime
with him. A beating isn't enough. Rossiter should be hogtied,
locked in chains, and put on public display for ridicule downtown,
along with his Council crotch lice, for KILLING LaGrange and making
it hell on earth for everyone except "the good ole boys". Weird
isn't it...you can get the death penalty for a killing...but kill a
town of 1,000 souls and some idiot one day will no doubt erect a
statue of the murderer! LaGrange's official filth makes my skin crawl!
P.S. Just to let you know...the Alaska letter didn't pull up on your website.
I am appalled at the city attorney, he use to be a fair and honest person.
It seems to me that if the Boy Scout building is to be sold that maybe the old City Hall could
be a good place for the scouts to meet. We need to meet somewhere that there is room
enough for storage. With all the empty buildings in town it's too bad the scouts can't seem to
find a place that they can meet in and store all the gear and scouting files,
etc.
Jerry, you have talking around town about how good your buddy
Ed Ensor is doing. Well, take a
look at the dog leg by the school house.
I have received more emails in the past week or so than ever before. Many were appalled at the actions of the mayor and council. More than one wanted to know how a petition can be gotten up for a new election and some of those wanted to reelect the whole council and start over.
In the past 4 years of the gossip page, I have never had so many people email me or call me wanting to know what they can do stop the mayor and council or petition or something. Even though the Mayor told me that I am the only one who cares whether the old city hall is destroyed or not, council meeting minutes clearly show that many of the council have been questioned why the building can't be used by the Chamber and/or boy scouts and/or historical society. A contractor has been in the building and sees little cost in removing the insides to get rid of the "mold" so it can be used for the boy scouts stuff. There is also no reason the upstairs can not be used by the chamber and the scouts for meetings.
Once the mayor and council destroy the historical building, I believe the rest of the people who do not know what the mayor and council were planning, it will be a bad scene.
September 14, 2003
Rumor has by an emailer that 116 was knocking them down Sunday evening. One after another after another. That will teach those people to come to the casino. They get to lose their money at the casino and lose again to the cops. Maybe they will drive enough people away from the casino it will close its doors.
The mayor and council know how to do it well. Screw over the people of La Grange. Screw over the employees. Destroy the historical buildings. Kick out the Scouts. And screw over anyone who dares to come to La Grange. But, they are going to get a $20,000 fire boat and a $50,000 skate board park. What more could anyone want.
September 13, 2003
Today, I just received the minutes of Council meetings for last month. As I was reading through them. I came across a SPECIAL meeting, (these are meetings only the council and mayor are notified). When I read where the mayor and council voted to give Kenny Powers a pitiful, measly $10,000 severance pay to get rid of him, I dropped the paper. I couldn't believe what I was reading. Millions of dollars, and give a 30 year employee $10,000 for three years of his life. And this was after they demoted him and shamed him and humiliated him. It just makes you sick. Since they are paying themselves twice for attending meetings, they think that their few hours a year are worth 5 times more than three years of a man's life.
If Tim has the balls to have a benefit or something to give Kenny an award for his 30 years, it will clearly show how despicable and two faced he is.
People of La Grange, I am here to tell you that you had better watch your back. He has already shown that he will attack the older people of La Grange, the sick people of town, and now he is after the Boy Scout building again and is determined to destroy another historical building the old City Hall. He has falsely stated the building is beyond repair to be able to spend THOUSANDS for a new police station.
The way this mayor and council are spending the money, the City will be broke within six months if the casino closes today. EVERY dollar the city has in investments and that includes the investments that past mayors and councils have saved for the future are ALL budgeted this year to be SPENT. 130 people voted for a mayor that is taking the city to bankruptcy and shame.
September 12, 2003
Passed Away
Johnny Cash and John Ritter
Go get'em 118. Main and Poage is the best place to get those pesky speeders. Maybe you can kill off enough business for the new business that they will lose money and close too. 130 people have to be proud of "their" Mayor.
September 10, 2003
I heard today that Sue Downs passed away. Sue will always be
remembered by me as Sue Shannon. I grew up with Sue and I can remember many many
fun times we had as kids. She was always a lot of fun.
I hate getting old.
IT NEVER QUITS.
It never quits. The Mayor and City Council proceed daily to destroy the town and put up monuments to themselves and the La Grange Police FORCE continues to harass the businesses and people in town.
This morning, several senior citizens were patronizing the new coffee shop "Grandmas Cupboard" which has only been open three days. One of the ladies parked her car where she has been parking her car for years and years in he same place. Well, Officer Bryan Lampkin #116 came up behind the elderly lady's car and parked. She started getting agitated and was worried that she did something wrong and started fretting and getting excited. The rest of us couldn't see where she did anything wrong and thought the officer was parked there to watch for the kids and school bus. WRONG!!!!!
The officer got out of his car and put a ticket on the senior citizen's car. Now she is really upset and getting excited about being arrested and going to court. Is was getting really bad when another person in the coffee shop went over and talked to the officer to see what was wrong. She was told that the car had been parked there over three days. WRONG, she told him that the elderly had parked there three times in three days to go to the NEW BUSINESS. That she is now afraid to patronize.
Then, the officer changed the charge that she was parked in front of the stop sign, but she was parked on the back side of the stop sign. But, the Stop sign is illegally place too far from the corner anyhow. But, the officer said not to worry, it was only a written warning, it was not a ticket, don't worry about it.
Here is a picture of the car illegally parked. CLICK HERE
The bank had the area in front of it painted yellow to stop anyone from being able to park in front of the bank and do business. There are many other places painted yellow to stop anyone from wanting to park anywhere downtown to support any business. And the Chamber and City are wondering why there are no customers. The Mayor stated at the last Council Meeting that he found someone to buy the boy scout building and put in a business. Right next door to the tavern. now think about parking.
Say Good-Bye to the old City Hall. An excellent historical building. I sent out emails to several people regarding the possible use of the old city hall for a building to house historical artifacts about the history of La Grange. Even though almost everyone sent a reply to try to get the Mayor and Council to save the building from being demolished and destroyed, the Mayor and ALL THE Council people said NO.
The Mayor made it very clear talking straight at me that no one else in town cared whether that building was going to be destroyed. He made it clear that no one in town has said anything to him about saving the building. And the City Council as a whole stated the building will be destroyed. Another building in the downtown area will be gone. Three past Mayors all agree it should not be destroyed, yet, this Mayor is dead set on destroying another building downtown. The Mayor and Council are dead set on spending over $100,000.00 to destroy history and put up a new building on the property right behind the old city hall next to the rock wall.
I received an email about free sunglasses. The story was that the companies that made the sunglasses were overstocked and some had a blemish and so on, so they were offering them for free. When I went to the website, sure enough, you could picked from many different styles of sunglasses. Almost all were for free and some were offered for $1.00. Going a little farther, I checked a few boxes to see what would happen and then went to check out. I was so surprised to see that this was a scam :). The sun glasses were free, but, they charged $6.95 per pair of sunglasses for shipping.
September 9, 2003
Grandma's Cupboard opened its doors today. The coffee club made its appearance bright and early and found the place Great. The La Grange Chamber should scoot on down there and welcome the new business and get some newspaper and tv coverage. It has been years since anyone has opened a new business in town and with so many closing, there has to be some type of recognition. I notice at the Council meeting tonight that not one word was said by any Councilman or Mayor on this grand occasion. If you are going to the Post Office, it would be very nice if you would take a minute to stop in and wish Penny good luck and see all she has to offer. A lot more than I would have thought.
Now, we will sit back and watch and see if any of the officers of the Chamber and City patronize this business.
September 8, 2003
Another city in Missouri has started up a Tech Incubator. What this is, is a building that a city puts up and helps small businesses have a cheap place to get started and hire employees. Too bad all the money the city has for the next year and all its investments from the past is all spent.
Louisiana, Missouri is busy preserving their past. Not by tearing down their historical buildings, but by fixing them up and using them. The City is seeking a $200,000.00 community development grant, but they need to come up with their share by working for it. Now, there is a city administration and city manager that is looking to the future by utilizing its past. And La Grange still turns it head away from the river.
Will the new Mayor ever transfer the docking fees to the not-for-profit organizations? I doubt it. It will take a Mayor wanting to "share" the casino money with the people of La Grange. So far, the mayor and Council still believe they are the only people on earth smart enough to spend $2.5 million dollars in one year.
EMAILS
It has recently come to my attention via a former city employee that the benevolent
city manager has a key to the evidence room at the police department. Now, in
my opinion, if this is the case, it sounds like a lot of prosecuted people, both
recent past, present, and until this key is removed from said manager, will have a
fine reason for appeal or case dismissal
Jerry, did you know the City Administrator knows when the random drugs test are and has missed some.
Cynthia is working for the St. James police department with a wonderful chief, this chief
takes the oldest car and works midnight shifts when there is a shortage. She is
having the time of her life. Some drunk older woman punched Cynthia in the head,
and Cynthia had to mace her. It didn't hurt her, but it was really funny for us to give her crap.
My brother, a former police officer at the La Grange PD--AKA The Gestapo--was
recently terminated from his employment for, in the chief's words, not fitting in with
the "good ole boys." My brother informed me of this mild "infraction" with the city
manager, but, because of possible repercussions to himself, did not want to report
this. But, as for me, I could care less about those commie pinko cops in that town
think. Right is right and wrong is wrong and what they are doing by letting the city
manager have a key to the evidence room is completely wrong. My brother and I
are also planning a little run to Monticello to get a list of all the people who have
been arrested in Lagrange to give their lawyers a notice of this. Sure, there may
be some drug dealers or petty thieves that walk, but if the Gestapo can persecute
them without due process, then I think we're all doomed.
This, as far as I can tell is the extent of this story. But there are more wrong doings
of the LaPD that I am currently researching. If any more details pertaining to this
or other stories come my way I will definitely be in touch.
You may also find it important to post this on your site ASAP as the chief checks
your website daily. This is also very consistent with Adolf Hitler (checking to see
how he rates with public, especially the "enemy").

Jerry, this would be something that the board would need to think and talk
about. It is a shame that some of the things that the town used to be known
for and looked forwarded to are gone. Just like the Appreciation Day. The
merchants used to do it. Then it was stopped and Peggy Miles started it up
again. Someone decided that their organization would do it. They found out
it took a little work, so it stopped. Leadership is gone in most of the
organizations. The youth center will need to have fun raisers. They just
had one. I think you said they did good on it. Some of the money that was
received this year won't be there next year, so fund raisers will be
necessary. Rather they want to do the bar-b-q- is up to them. If the
materials are there to build it, they have enough volunteers to build it,
that is a plus. My problem with building the youth center was, no one
wanted to help. Help didn't show up until afterwards. That is up to you
guys now.
Sorry that you couldn't get anyone to e-mail reasons to move to La Grange

Hey Jerry, I used to work for the City of Ottawa, Canada's capital, population now over 1 million,
and we never had a curbing machine. We used to contract that work out as needed to private
industry because it was cheaper for the taxpayer and more efficient. Why on earth would La
Grange with a pop. of about 1,000 want a curbing machine? The City can't even lay asphalt
properly and get the streets in La Grange straight, yet alone curb them.
But, hey, had a thought, maybe a curbing machine IS needed in La Grange...to curb the insane
excesses of the Mayor and City officials and their groupies. Wonder what that looks like? A vote
ballot maybe? The mind boggles...
Hi Jerry, a message to all those "I wanna feel good" ostriches with their heads in the sand--lift
your heads up, smell the coffee, look around, look at your elected city officials, open your eyes,
and see what you've allowed them to do to La Grange. The picture of the former shelter
resembles the house of an Albanian farmer in Kosovo after the Serbian genocide. Send it to
CNN, they'd never know the difference!

WELL, 130 voters have to be proud as peacocks today.
The new Mayor and Council have fired the last minority worker.
They now have an all white male police force and now an all white male public
works.
I was informed yesterday that the new Mayor had fired Eddie Weathers. I am not totally sure as to what the main reason was, but rumors from the tavern is that Eddie kept complaining and using bad words and suggestions. So, based on the rumors, I am sure that the New Mayor will sidestep any challenge. Eddie had worked for me for about ten years and at no time did he ever do or say any of the things I have heard were the reasons the Mayor fired him. But, I never in all those years he worked for me did I ever treat Eddie as a nigger.
The New Mayor and Council and city administrator has got rid of all the minorities. No more blacks work for the City as (according to the rumors) they don't fit in with what the Council has planned. It was also rumored that a Councilperson working at the tavern was trying to find another "token" black to take Eddie place, BEFORE, the actual firing, which shows the decision was previously made. And, people got made at me for firing a rouge police chief.
Yet, the new mayor and his council buddy and city administrator keep promoting and giving raised to incompetence. It seems that the Mayor likes the idea of letting an employee (councilman's son) bang a backhoe to death.
130 voters have to be so proud of their vote.

For those of you who have been asking about what is going on around town, I took some pictures to show and tell.
First off is a picture of Sammy's boy working the City backhoe digging around for the new Police Station. CLICK HERE. But, as another person was wondering, what are they going to do about the falling rocks? CLICK HERE.
Next, we have some pictures from where the old Coaches Corner and Brill's Garage used to be. Yesterday Ed Ensor had a dozer dig it all out and made a big hole. CLICK HERE. Then Ed had the guys building the new highway haul in the busted up concrete to fill the hole CLICK HERE. Ed said that he will then push the dirt that came out of the hole back over on top of the piles of concrete.
Also, at the same time, Bunge's is adding new equipment and steel to the elevator. CLICK HERE.
And Sam Henderson monument to himself, the new toilets at the shelter house is being built. CLICK HERE. We are going to have to come up with a name for the toilets. Any suggestions we can forward on the Sammy?

For the Sixth time, the Mayor has had a chance to stand up and be a Mayor and make a decision. For the Sixth time, the Mayor has chosen to hide behind the City Administrator and the Council. Why is the Mayor afraid to make any decisions on his own? What is he scared of?
He has a City employee who has a problem with the new changes. Instead of the Mayor taking the reigns and talking with the employee and the other employees and trying to work out the problem without any "bloodshed", the Mayor has again chosen to hide behind the City Administrator and let him do the dirty work. And now, the rumor is that the mayor will have the Council meet tonight to make his decision for him. At least when election comes again, he will be able to say that he didn't do anything wrong.
An email: Actually there were several on this issue, but I picked the one that said it best.

Jerry,For the person that wants a KFC west of LG, tell them to purchase the land from Ayers of Canton. He purchased
that land when the highway was first built. I am sure he purchased the land so that one of the rest of us that
owns land along there would not be the first to open a station or something else along the road; just for his
protection.
I am of the opinion that Mr. McReynolds needs to stay in Canton and keep his interest there. As you know, I am
VERY opposed to annexation they are talking about--just to annex the land with nothing in mind. It is upsetting to
me for I use the farmland as income; it put my kids through college, now supports me.
Thanks for listening.

In La Grange, if the Police knock on your door, don't open it.
